I don't know if this is a long standing tradition or not but I was told we should hang up a miniature shaped like a lamb behind our front door on New Year's Eve to attract money. The slang-word in Spanish for money is "lana" (wool).
I didn't want us to go without one this year, so I made one out of paper :)
I wove a red cotton yarn handle with frivolité knots for it. I like how the white and red look together. I picked up on this embossing technique while looking at Elsita Mora's amazing work. I always feel inspired and uplifted after reading her blog. She has become one of my favorite artists!
